Why Patreon Matters To Long Island Advertising Agencies

By Arthur Williams

There's so much content being created, in this day and age, that it's impossible to keep track of it all. Some of the content in question may be rooted in entertainment, while other examples may be tied to Long Island advertising agencies and other established firms. With that said, I think that it's important to discuss Patreon, which is a platform decided to push this idea forward. For those who are unfamiliar with Patreon, here is a bit of background information.

Patreon, which was founded in 2013, is a crowdfunding platform to help artists receive funding. This can be done through a per-project basis or a monthly payment. It has drawn the attention of several artists, ranging from those with little to no name value to the most established personalities on the Internet. As a result, Patreon has amassed a sizable audience, which was illustrated by its 125,000 plus patrons within its first year and a half of operation.

If you were to ask a Long Island advertising agency about the benefits of Patreon, there would be many examples to cite. Companies the likes of fishbat know all too well about the importance of communication, which can be done between Patreon backers and their favorite content creators. When this happens, news about projects comes about more commonly. It's also worth noting that there are incentives to backing said creators, as rewards may be given on a regular basis.

You have to keep in mind, though, that every Patreon account is different. For example, if you back a particular content creator, you may not receive any rewards for your patronage. This is where you have to evaluate the situation and ask the question, "Is it worth backing?" Only when you have the right information in place should you be able to look at the situation and see whether or not it'll be the most reasonable one for you to take part in.

With these aspects in mind, it's easy to see why Patreon has become such a big deal. The crowdfunding scene is a massive one, to say the least, and it has helped to create projects in various mediums, video games and movies included. Patreon, in my view, is another extension of this concept and the way that it keeps content creators and patrons in communication isn't to be overlooked. For artists who are looking to get started, on their own projects, Patreon has its advantages.
