I've been groomed by 6 and 7-figure income earners who taught me the following strategies we quietly use to build large businesses:

- You Can't Make Excuses

A huge problem among marketers in companies like Nu Skin is making excuses. A person decided to get started. For a few weeks, they're all excited. People start to get discouraged when they face challenges in their business. They end up quitting.

Almost every time, what these people say sounds like this:

- I don't have time

- I can't spend more money on this

- I can't do this

These are not facts, they are excuses. As an entrepreneur, you are likely to feel like you don't have enough time to invest into your Nu Skin business. New network marketers also usually feel they have too little money, and not enough skills. These are normal.

Excuse-making just means the demands of your business are more than your mindset can accommodate. I don't know a single top producer who wasn't short on money, time or skills when he started. Not one.

But we top producers are those of us who did not succumb to making excuses. A big component of becoming a top income earner is making the time, finding the money somehow, and persisting beyond all obstacles.

Don't make excuses if you intend to prosper in Nu Skin. Excuse-making is a symptom of poor mindset. You are going to need to make a huge investment into your own self development. Hire a mindset coach and attend transformational workshops. You are going to need to spend several thousand dollars on coaching, educational products and live events. It's critical you purchase all the products, courses and events necessary to thrive in Nu Skin.

- Generate Leads

Build a list of leads by using the internet. Don't simply list and approach friends and family and people you already know. Leads you generate are more likely to join your Nu Skin business than leads you purchase.

When you attract your own Nu Skin leads, you always have leads to call. Here's how to generate leads: Provide an effective, ""irresistible"" bonus for your prospects, in exchange for their contact details.

Specifically, create a totally free training that reveals to other network marketers how to solve a vital business problem. You could focus on recruiting strategies, or retention, or closing or another topic.

Deliver your free bonus training as a video, audio recording, PDF report or some other online format. Your website should request the prospect's name, email and phone number before allowing the bonus training to be downloaded.

Once the prospect enters his contact information, he becomes a Nu Skin lead. Build a relationship with your leads by emailing helpful training tips and calling your leads. A portion of your leads will want to join your Nu Skin organization.

- Accumulate A List And Promote To This List

I'm not talking about your list of family and friends. I mean a list of prospects you attracted online. You can't expect to succeed in Nu Skin by just throwing up some content on your blog and on Facebook. Leads only buy from those they know, like and trust, so it's vital you establish this trust..

Positioning yourself properly begins with teaching your prospects tips, tactics and strategies to grow their business. Building a list means you have a website to which you drive visitors who enter their contact information in order to receive free training content.

- Establish a relationship with and sell to this list

Getting a feel for your prospects' business needs by keeping in contact with them is very critical. A lot of marketers miss this step, but it's critical. Those that fail in their online activities never establish strong rapport with their audience. Publish helpful content, such as blog posts and videos, several times per week. End each tip, blog post, email and video with a call to action to make a purchase.
